FREEING CHILDREN FROM INFESTATIONS OF WORMS
November 12, 2016 Helping children with AIDS in Africa ,

What is it? Parasitic worms are small creatures which either live in the earth or dirty water and can be picked up by children when they play. The worms then live inside the children, debilitating the child and leaving the child feeling nauseas and malnourished – with more serious outcomes if left untreated for too long.

How we treat it: Following symptomatic diagnosis we prescribe a short dose of very effective medication dependent on which form of worm is the cause.

How many people we treated last year: Bilharzia around 1,800, Worms around 500.
