ENABLING CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM ASTHMA TO BREATHE AGAIN
November 12, 2016 Helping children with AIDS in Africa ,

What is it? Asthma is a common inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs. It is characterized by variable and recurrent symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Symptoms include episodes of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

How we treat it: Following diagnosis we provide inhalers to children suffering with asthma and teach patients how to use them. Our mobile clinic will then regularly check in with them. Although it’s easily treatable severe asthma without treatment can result in death.
